| Description: | Pandemics (global outbreaks of infectious disease) are among the most impactful events in human history. Through this course, we will study the major historical and modern pandemics from an advanced biological as well as social and political perspectives. We will compare past pandemics to the public health crisis caused by COVID-19, and we will apply this knowledge to interpret scientific discoveries related to future pandemics and their prevention. |
