Explain concepts in physiology, ecology, genetics, and evolutionary biology; apply understanding of these concepts and use quantitative models for testable predictions in novel settings; and analyze data sets to rigorously evaluate and differentiate between alternative hypotheses in cardiovascular physiology, population and community ecology, transmission genetics, population genetics, and phylogenetics.

Students will build the skills needed to enhance and enrich their experiences as a biology student. The goal is to encourage students to take advantage of available opportunities, form an interactive community with similar interests, curate individual experiences, and enable them to set and achieve realistic goals for their academic success at Illinois and beyond.
